Sandridge Rhodesian Ridgebacks is based on a 20 acre farm overlooking the Kaipara Harbour, about an hour north of Auckland, New Zealand.

Our special dogs are bred from the some of the finest lines in New Zealand and are successful as show dogs and much loved members of the family. The dogs are bred true to type, sound and with great temperaments. Our dogs have been hip and elbow scored for dysplasia (low risk) and genetically screened for Juvenile Myoclonic Epilepsy, Degenerative Myelopathy and Early Onset Adult Deafness. 
We remain committed to all our puppies for their life and so it is of the utmost importance we are happy with their adopted humans. If you haven't lived with RRs before we will ask you to complete our initial questionnaire. We do expect people who wish to go on a waiting list for a Sandridge puppy to visit us here if at all possible. If you are overseas and it would be difficult for you to do that given your location, we will arrange to meet you via Zoom or Messenger video so that you can meet the dogs virtually and we can talk about what you are looking for.  Meeting the dam is vitally important in deciding if the line is right for you. We very seldom place our puppies with people we haven’t met.
