Executive Council has appointed Mrs. Pat Dance as Temporary Acting Director/Secretary of the New Zealand Kennel Club following the departure of the Chief Executive Officer on Friday the 04 December 2009.
Mrs. Dance will fill the requirements under our Rules in this role. She will be working part-time hours and fitting in with existing commitments.
This appointment is of a temporary nature and will continue until such time as a permanent appointment is made.
Mrs Dance has been involved in the dog world for many years. She originally trained as a nurse and latterly worked as practice manager for several specialist medical practices. She is experienced in managing teams.
Executive is confident of her ability to discharge her responsibilities.
Mrs Dance says “The NZKC team has a wonderful opportunity to show members that things can be done the right way. I anticipate my first week will be spent getting to grips with current issues. I would be delighted to hear from members, some of whom know me already.”
