Obedience competitors must report in at least 30 minutes prior to their run. The running order will not be changed without the permission of either the Show Manager (Janice Kirk) or the Assistant Show Manager (Carol Lavery). You must have a very valid reason for changing position. In order to give you all enough room for your warm up only the next two handlers will be allowed in the warm up area at any one time. Prizegiving will be at the completion of each test with the winner being required at the Best in Show presentation on the Sunday afternoon. Carmel Cindy Trophy Rules A. Competition 1. Open competition at the PRO PLAN National Dog Show. 2. Any Obedience club recognised under New Zealand Kennel Club Rules 8, 9, 10 and 11 may compete for the trophy. B. Team Competion 1. A team shall comprise three (3) handlers and dogs competing in three (3) separate tests. 2. Teams to be notified to the National Dog Show Obedience Manager before commencement of the first day of the Obedience section of the show. 3. No dog may compete in more than one team. 4. A handler may compete in more than one team provided it is with a different dog. C. Calculation of Points 1. Points will be allocated to each handler according to their placing in the nominated Test i.e. 1st - 1 point, 2nd - 2 points; etc. 2. The points gained by each of the three handlers are added to form a team total. 3. The winning team is the team with the lowest total of points. 4. In the event of a tie, the team with the highest overall percentage of total points in each test will be declared the winner. Carmel Cindy Trophy Entry Form
