NZYKC Photographic CompetitionSee the General Information page of the New Zealand Kennel Club Nationals page for details - winners will be announced at the Nationals prior to Best In Show. A selection of the Photographers entered will be displayed during the Nationals.NZYKC Breed Handling Finals 2008This is the first time the NZYKC has run Agility, Breed Handling & Obedience on the same evening.It promises to be an evening of great entertainment. Come along and enjoy the exciting atmosphere of an NZYKC evening. The Finals of the NZYKC Breed Handling Stakes will be held on 27th September at the Westpac Stadium, Christchurch. Reporting time 6.30pm. Judging from 7.00pm Ring One 5 - 7 yrs followed by 12 - 15 yrs Ring Two 8 - 11 yrs followed by 16 - 24 yrs Collect your ring numbers from ringside prior to judging. This is a prestigious event and a smart dress code is required for both competitors and spectators. This the 3rd New Zealand Young Kennel Club National Breed Handling Final. The Club is delighted to have 108 youngsters who have qualified for the finals. (see below for the list of qualifiers, if you are on the list and have not received an official invitation to compete please contact either Lynley or Claire - contact details on the NZYKC Website). NB Your acceptance to compete must be returned to Lynley by 1st September. NZYKC Agility and ObedienceNZYKC Agility "give it a go" CompetitionFrom 6.00pm Cost $2.00 - open to all youngsters Entries taken either at the NZKC table in the main building or see Susan Tansey at the agility ring. Entries close at 3pm on the Saturday. NZYKC Obedience "give it a go" Competition From 6.30pm approximately Cost $2.00 - open to all youngsters The competition will consist of heel work with right and about turns (on the lead), a recall of no more than 7 meters with an optional finish and a 1 minute down stay. Any obedience dog may work with the young handler, even if the dog is in a higher test with its normal handler. This is a non qualifying event.
