The PRO PLAN National Dog Show is the showcase of the Dog Exhibition year and attracts media and public interest. We know that as exhibitors, you will recognise this and display a high standard of sportsmanship, dress and behaviour to match the occasion.

Agility Teams Competition

Prizes for each team member of the 1st placed teams - a $5.00 entry per team will be charged. Exhibitors must be entered in an agility class at the show. Four members per team from the same club. Limit of 2 teams per club as in schedule. Entries close 15 August 2004. Entry froms available from the New Zealand Kennel Club on application. See rules printed elsewhere in this Gazette.

Agility Venue

The Agility venue will be an outdoor venue at The Waitakere Trusts Stadium, Waitakere City, Auckland.

Allocation of Judges and Scheduling

The PRO PLAN New Zealand Kennel Club National Dog Show Committee reserves the right to reallocate judges, tests and classes and alter the scheduled order of judging should entries exceed reasonable numbers or other circumstances require.

Carmele Cindy Trophy

(Obedience Teams Competition) - Any obedience club recognised or associated under New Zealand Kennel Club Rules can compete. See rules printed elsewhere in this Gazette.

Budget Accommodation

Car Parking

Car Parking $5.00 per car and $5.00 per trailer. Campervans, RV’s and Buses $10.00 Limited space. No pre booking.

Catalogues

Full catalogues $15.00. Individual Group, Obedience & Agility $5.00 each. Please use catalogue order form. The website will list the catalogue numbers of the dogs in the breeds only prior to the show and will not list any further details.

Commercial Stalls

Stall space is limited at this show. Please apply in writing to the New Zealand Kennel Club.

De-sexed Dogs

Spayed bitches and neutered dogs can enter any stake class at this show. They cannot enter breed classes. The letter ‘D’ must be placed after the dog’s number on the entry form. New Zealand Kennel Club registry records must be endorsed ‘de-sexed’. Dress and Behaviour

Entries

Entries must be on the New Zealand Kennel Club Official Entry Form. ie entry form must be completed for each dog or bitch. Obedience and Agility entries also in breed classes must be on separate forms for obedience, agility and conformation classes entered.

Entry Fees

Please note the conditions of the discount for multiple entries is different from previous years. You can enter this show online at www.nzkc.org.nz

Exhibitors Passes

One exhibitors pass per entry will be issued up to a maximum of two per exhibitor. Exhibitors of jointly owned dogs will be issued one per dog. Extra passes for exhibitors can be obtained by applying to the New Zealand Kennel Club.

Gate Entry

Possession of an exhibitors pass will gain free admission otherwise admission fees are payable. School children accompanying an exhibitor will be admitted free.

Junior Dog Handler Competition Final

Judging time to be advised.

Obedience

Dependent upon the entries in each test, some tests may be held on more than one day. Those affected will be contacted prior to the show commencing.

Over-night Parking

No over-night parking/camping allowed. Tui Glen Camp has facilities for caravans and campervans. Reporting Sheets - Will be posted to all exhibitors.

Stake Classes Heats

Stake Classes Heats will be held on the day the breed is judged. Heat winners will be required to attend judging of the final on Saturday at a time to be advised.

Trophies

The best ever array of trophies will be on offer through the generosity of our sponsors. Trophies for In Show, Obedience and Agility winners, prizes for Best of Breed and Test Winners. Rosettes and sashes for all In Show, Group, Test and Breed winners. Special Cards for all place getters. Generous donation of sponsor’s products.

Veterinary Lectures

Thursday 6.00 pm at the Trusts Stadium:
Richard Jerram - "What happened to James Herriot?". Lecture on current veterinary practices

Friday 2.00pm and 5.00pm
Elsa Flint - Common canine behaviour problems

Both speakers will conclude with a Q & A session/
