The PMDC Inc was formed in the 1970's with the aims to protect and promote the Pyrenean Mountain Dog. We have a Rescue Service which helps any Pyrenean in need and is funded by Members of the PMDC via raffles and anything else we can think of!!! Mainly by the generosity of our Members. Breeders pay the 1st year sub of new puppy owners to the PMDC.

The Pyrenean Mountain Dog Club Inc caters to both the Pet and Show person with a variety of Activities such as the Annual Battle of the Giants and the Clash of the Titans, both events against other Breeds. We are also involved in the Pet Expos and visiting Rest Homes. The Club covers the whole of New Zealand and is the only Pyrenean Club recognised by the New Zealand Kennel Club. Our Club publishes an excellent Newsletter for Pyr lovers 6 times a year. Contributions welcomed from members.
April 2006 saw the 3rd Breed Feature in the NZKC Gazette on the Pyrenean Mountain Dog. An excellent feature thanks to the advertisers and subscribers.
