Our club was founded in 1974 and encompasses the lower half of the North Island of New Zealand. Our members receive a bi-monthly newsletter (Pawprint).

Upcoming Shows and Events

Our 2007 Championship Shows will be held on the weekend of the 12th of April, at the NZKC Exhibition Centre, Porirua. The judges will be Mrs Barbara Thornley (UK) and Miss Deirdre Crofts (NSW, Australia). There will be all the usual Breed Classes and Stakes Classes.

Barbara Thornley will also be running a Seminar for us on Shetland Sheepdog Breed Standards at 9 a.m, Sunday 13th May at the NZKC Exhibition Centre - cost is $10 per person to attend.

Club Activities

We hold one or two Championship Shows during a year, and an Open Show in conjunction with our AGM. We also hold an annual points trophy competition for breed shows, agility and obedience competitions.
