Teresa and Arnac Bay Sway (Wave) at home.
Hunting with Chesapeakes is a way of life.
Wave's dam Arnac Bay Pride was Best Bitch of Breed at Crufts 2003 and again in 2005. Her litter brother, Arnac Bay Spokane, was Best of Breed at Crufts 2005.
Wave is an outstanding Chesapeake, winning field trials in her class and awarded her Field Trial QC in 2004.
Wave has also performed well in the show ring. She was a Pedigree Awards winner in 2003, Best Chesapeake Bay Retriever, winning more 'Best of Breed' in Championship shows than any other Chesapeake in New Zealand.
An excellent example of a Dual Purpose Chessie, we mated her with Rogue (Chesepi Taholah) last year and have been very impressed with her pups, exhibiting superb hunting and retrieving abilities at a young age.

Chesepi Taholah QC (Rogue) bringing back a peacock.
Chessies are renown for their ability to retrieve large game birds such as peacock, geese and swan. They are the original water retrieving dog from the Chesapeake Bay, excelling in tough retrieves - large birds, big water and cold climates; the tougher the conditions the harder they go!
Rogue is no exception, taking his first Open Field Trial in 2005 and winning the 2006 NZ Gundog Retriever Field Trial Championship.
