We have been involved in the breed since 1994 when we researched the breed and decided to purchase our first girl Pip otherwise known as New Zealand Champion Planhaven Dancer in 1995.
Pip made such an impression on us that we then went on to become breeders who breed especially for Temperament Health and Longevity of this wonderful gentle giant.
We intend to breed the best we can and so we health test all parents prior to mating. The current tests are for Hip, Elbow, Heart, Eye and Cystinuria DNA.

Flame- Newflands Do U Believe |

 The picture above is of Aaron - Aragorn of Newflands at his last show with me winning Reserve of group only the 12th show he had been shown at and already he was a champion on his 8th show out. Aaron has now very sadly passed on but has left his mark of love with those that knew this very special boy.
Left is Aaron's mum Flame who is still with us at 11 years of age, taking a well earned holiday in the snow July 2nd 2006. Sitting behind her is Rosie- Newflands Water Rose our top winning water rescue girl who is now a very proud mum of Fleur our Landseer girl pictured below. Fleur is now all grown up and has taken after her mum in that she is also a super water girl. She has passed all health testing with flying colours and is ready to enter our breeding programme.

Jet- Newflands Life after Love |

 This is Jet he is the father of Lace's first litter and was a top winning water rescue dog. He is now at stud to approved bitches only. He was trained in carting and was a well known icon in his local area for being the biggest boy walked by the smallest women. His niece Minnie, Flames daughter and Aaron's sister (Aaron was also a therapy dog) is a trained therapy dog so the whole family have the superb temperment required in the Newfoundland. His mother Pip was know as the "nana" newf for her love of the babies both human and animal. Sadly we lost Jet but we still have his semen so that maybe one day he will again produced wonderful children.

Lace- New Zealand Show Champion |

 This is Lace who has had two litters one to our dog Jet - Newflands Life after Lover above who has since passed on and one to Al - Multi International Grand Champion John John Fitzgerald who resides in Italy. Lace is a real show girl and thoroughly enjoys the ring and being centre of attention.Lace is not one to get dirty and wet she prefers to walk around the mud and water and pulling a cart is not on her favourite list of to do's. Lace was the only girl in her litter and so feels that she is the most special thing since sliced bread, even though we have tried to tell her differently, she still has a large fan club. Lace took to motherhood well with a little guidance and as the puppies age, her experience increases and so does her confidence. We know she will show her puppies the way to the show ring.
