Heidesa Border Collies, breeders of chocolate, red, tri-colour, merle and black/white Borders. (We also breed the occasional litter of Pomeranians and these can be seen if you click on our "Website" link on this page).
After importing stock from Australia to introduce the stunning chocolate and tri-colour into our kennels, it was a great thrill to see our first litter of chocolate babies finally on the ground. As well as the traditional black/white colour we occasionally have red/white, chocolate/white, black/white tri-colour. and chocolate tri-colours puppies available to approved homes. We have recently expanded our colours to include merles, as we have just purchased a lovely blue merle bitch with Scottish working lines behind her. So we are looking forward to a very exciting future of Heidesa puppies.
We are based in Tauranga and we have been breeding Borders for over 25 years. We focus our breeding programme on dogs with exceptional temperaments and trainability. Most of our stock goes to obedience and agility competitive homes but also some go to loving pet homes. We have bred numerous Obedience Champions and Obedience Grand Champions as well as many agility, tracking and agility titled dogs. We have also bred and trained many National and NDTA winners in all levels.
In 2004 we had one of our breeding representing each of the five tests in the interzone obedience teams event. Both the Test B and Test C winners in that event were Heidesa girls.

 Standing at stud with Dazzle is "Spinna". He has the most amazing temperament and throws that in his puppies, many who are competing very sucessfully in obedience throughout the country. Spinna has many notable wins to his name including winning the top obedience class - Test C, at the NZKC Nationals in 2002.
Spinna is DNA tested clear for CL and CEA.
