AUDAX is the home of New Zealand's Top Dalmatian 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008 & 2009!
My involvement with pedigree dogs goes back to 1971 when my parents gave me a Standard Schnauzer puppy from Anthea Cunningham's famous Urangeline Kennels for my birthday. Over the years, Dobermans, German Shepherds, a Border Collie and an Australian Cattle Dog have been my companions.
In the 1990s my heart was captured by the Dalmatian, CH Stedfast Pie In The Sky, of Paddy Lockett's renowned Stedfast Kennels. Pie came for a few days visit but ended up staying with me and becoming my best friend and my first Dalmatian champion, winning many Group awards, including Best Of Group at the 2003 National Dog Show.
From the beginning, I have had a very clear objective when breeding Dalmatians - to breed healthy dogs with lovely characters, of the correct structure and movement, maintaining good substance without losing the grace and elegance typical of the breed. This ambition has taken me across the world and led to the incorporation of bloodlines from internationally respected Dalmatian kennels - Dalmo (Nwy), Gwynmor (Netherlands), Olbero (UK), Perdita (Nwy), Spotnik (Nwy), Stedfast (NZ) , T-Cart and Theakston (UK).
AUDAX Dalmatians have been featured in the TV1 series, 'Best In Show', and in the book, 'A Way With Dogs', by Trudy Nicholson.

This mating will bring together the very best of the world's bloodlines including, Audax, Stedfast, Spotnik, T-Cart, Perdita and Olbero. It is the result of more than 7 generations of health tested breeding stock.
Copies of parents DNA profiles, official BAER hearing tests and certified hip and elbow dysplasia scores will accompany each puppy.
Puppies will be NZKC registered, microchipped, vaccinated and BAER hearing tested. Breeder provides ongoing support and a written guarantee of Health & Temperament.

'Pie' was a multi Best Of Group winner, with several In Show awards. He was Best Of Breed and Best of Group at the 2003 National Dog Show. Always the perfect gentleman, Pie was mentor and 'uncle' to my younger dogs for many years.

He is sire of Norway's Top Dalmatian 2009 and of the BIS winner of Sth Africa's National Dog Show 2009. His frozen semen has been sent to Norway - a first for a NZ dog of any breed. More recently, his semen has been sent to Mary-Lynn Jensen PhD (Woodwynd Dalmatians, USA.)
