Bred for Purpose
Angara Samoyeds compete successfully in breed showing, obedience, and sledding.
I fell in love with the Samoyed breed when I was 10 years old and bought my first Samoyed in 1991 from Samivahn Samoyeds.
My Samoyeds are housedogs and involved in family activities.
I place great importance in breeding for correct type and temperament as defined by the breed standard.
All my breeding stock is health checked for eye defects and hip dysphasia and have adorable personalities.
I raise my puppies as part of the family and sell them only as pets to families where they will be loved and cared for correctly on a property adequately fenced. |

Golden Oldies - Tochka & Roosay |
| |
The old girls of the kennel Tochka 14 1/2 and Roosay 13 1/2.
Ch Samivahn Adenoki Tochka (left) was a girl with attitude and together we learnt a lot about dog ownership, showing and obedience. She was top dog at Angara and kept the younger dogs in line until we saddy lost her in 2006 aged 15 1/2 years.
Samivahn Roosay (right) was a sweetie right from the start and had a great sense of humour. Roosay passed all the health checks and produced the first Angara litter of eight puppies in 1996. Sadly we also lost Roosay in 2006 aged 14 1/2 years.
From this first litter two puppies became NZ Champions – namely Ch Angara Kinda Windy and Ch Angara Mistral Mark – Mac. Mac and his brother Angara Khamsin Kid were sled raced and Angara Abbey Gale produced the second Angara litter of eleven puppies in 2001

Winning Stars - Duncan & Taiza |
| |
In 2004 we imported from Anaky Samoyeds in Australia the stunning boy in the picture - Aust Ch Anaky Its Party Time (Imp Aust)
Duncan as he is better known is a solid boy, with great pigment and an excellent rear gait. - he excels in breed type and temperament. He has an impeccable pedigree which ties in nicely with our breeding lines.
Duncan is a real cuddle bug and a pleasure to live with. He has fitted into the Angara household with ease.
Ch Angara Taiza Tale (picture at very top) is a top wining showgirl going BIS at the SCI Open Show in Wellington and RBIS at the DSC Open Show in Christchurch.
Taiza has also done the breed proud in the obedience ring. Placing 3rd in the Nationals in Wellington. Like all Samoyeds she works best when she knows she is pleasing you but can be very naughty some days and I wonder if any of the training has sunk in.
A very pretty girl Taiza has passed on her wonderful looks and personality to her pups.
Danza from Taiza's first litter is successfully competing as a show girl and being trained for obedience and agility competition.
Kishe from Taiza's second litter will join Danza in the show and obedience ring.

My puppies are only sold as family pets with not to be bred contracts. I take this action as a responsible breeder to protect the Samoyed breed and stop Angara Samoyeds being involved in indiscriminate breeding practices.
My puppies are vet checked, wormed, and have started their vaccinations before they go to their new homes at 8 weeks.
I provide ongoing support and request notification if you can no longer keep your Samoyed so I can assist with re-homing.
I strongly recommend attendance at an obedience club to learn the basics in dog training and provide early socialization for your puppy with other dogs.
Please contact me if you would like any further information about Angara Samoyeds.
